Universitas Indonesia is the oldest university in Indonesia, established in 1849 by the Dutch government as a higher education for medicine.
Currently Universitas Indonesia has 13 Faculties, Postgraduate Programs and Vocational Programs. The 13 Faculties are the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmaceutical, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Engineering, Psychology, Social Sciences and Politics, Law, Economy, Public Health, Humanities, and Computer Sciences. There are 291 programs of study with 47,166 students.
A number of Indonesia’s climate leaders graduated from the University of Indonesia that now has a Research Center for Climate Change (RCCC). RCCC in colaboration with The School of Public Health and The Climate Reality Project Indonesia organized a General Lecture on Climate Actions on the Ground with Matthew Boms as the speaker.
More than 250 students attended the lecture where Matthew showed climate reality slides with examples of Actions on the Ground. Students enthusiatically asked questions and gave comments on climate change issues of their interests.
